Running a red light is against the law, but some lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow some motorists to cruise on through them.
Sen. Paul Schumacher of Columbus introduced the bill which would allow motorcyclists and bikers to proceed through red lights, if no other vehicles are around, and if the stoplight doesn't change to green after two minutes.
Schumacher says the bill is needed because traffic sensors don't always pick up on motorcyclists.
